How I learned to read numbers in Thai language

by Yin Teing on March 29, 2013

Someone once told me that the best way to learn a language is to put yourself in a situation where you have no choice but to learn it.

I had always been struggling with the reading the numbers in Thai language …so when it comes to page numbers in a Thai book I would not know how to read the page number written in Thai characters …. I had to write romanized numbers next to it.
๑๒๓๔๕๖๗๘๙….

Finally this predicament was solved when I bought a Thai desktop calendar… where the calendar itself is in Thai numbers…

This is the month of March and having to use the calendar everyday I am now getting ok with the numbers. I am showing in the month of September because March month is scribbled with assignments and to-do list.

However in order to purchase this type of native calendar… you need to find from a bookstore in Thailand.
