Tang Mo is quite a popular Thai brand of clothings started by a company called Suika. They have about 65 outlets spread around various PTT petrol stations nationwide in Thailand. Tang Mo means “watermelon” in the Thai language and it is used as a brand and label on their products.
We visited their main factory outlet located in Sam Phran district in Nakhon Pathom. The outlet is not far from the Don Wai floating market….therefore the next time when you happen to visit Don Wai, be sure to stop by at their main store. Or vice versa…
They have a large variety of shirts, pants, skirts, Tshirt, shorts that comes in various designs and colour tones. The quality of the material is also very good because I was told that the cloth is important from Japan but the clothings are locally made in Thailand. Aside from that they also have bags, shoes, toys and inner wear.
Honestly, when I walked into the store, I was really amazed. I could think of a few popular overseas clothing brands that would go out of business if they are side by side with a Tang Mo shop. Tang Mo has much more variety and furthermore, it is a homegrown brand so it is understandable that many Thais love this brand.
Above is casual wear with luggage bags with the signature watermelon slices designs. Kinda cute and there are 3 colours…pink, orange and dark blue.
Above are the colourful prints that comes in different color tones. And below are their Tshirts….seriously, they have almost every single colour tone available. You would be sure to be able to find the few tones of your favourite colours there. I definitely spotted mine…
The price of the Tshirt varies but it is over 200 baht. The pricing is due to the quality of the material and stitching that is being used.
Above are just my favourite colour in a few different hues. When you walk into their store, it is colours and colours everywhere. I just love it and wanted to take these photos to show you what I mean:
You have also nice comfortable pants ….that comes in various colour tones to match.
They also sell a variety of bags- handbags, luggage bag, computer bags and handcarry tote bags:
The quality of the bags are also good. And the designs are comparable to imported brands.
Can’t resist taking picture of the trolley bag below that comes in one of my favourite colour:
Finally, about their women’s underwear. A Thai friend recommended this brand of underwear because she said the quality is really good and always buy from this brand. A pack with 3 pieces (nope cannot change colours) cost slightly over 200 baht. Do ask the sales ladies on the correct size for you because I think their cutting is a smaller.
There is also an additional thing I wish to include…. They have a wall which is made up of coloured threads in almost all colour tones available. This reflects on their clothing line where one can find like a T-shirt or pants in one’s favourite colour:
